IEF Breed Appreciation Day Invitation

 to all our IGGHR Members
 

IGGHR members and their Georgian Grande horses have been invited to participate in IGGHR Breed Appreciation Day at the International Equestrian Festival in Lexington, KY this fall.  The International Equestrian Festival in the downtown fanfare event going on every afternoon and evening during the World Equestrian Games.  Everyday of the festival they will be highlighting different breed associations and disciplines by giving them free space, TV publicity, and live demonstration opportunities all in the effort to promote breed organizations to their audience. IGGHR members are encouraged to  take advantage of having a presence in front of the largest gathering of horse enthusiasts in the country at potentially no cost.  

The demonstration time takes place in the indoor Polytrack Park arena which  is a 30 yard diameter round arena.  The time you have available will range between a 15-45 minute slot.    Another opportunity to showcase your GG horses is in the IEF Parade on September 26th.  The city of Lexington is having a downtown parade to kick off the festivities and IEF is the sponsor.  All organizations participating in the Breed Appreciation Day Celebration are invited to have their horses ride in the front of the parade. If any of our members want to show off their Georgian Grandes in the IEF Parade September 26th be sure to let our office IGGHR know via email as soon as you are firm on your plans; we will enter you and your horse in the Parade. An additional publicity opportunity for members participating in the Breed Appreciation Days has developed for anyone interested.  The Kentucky Horse Shoeing School will be doing shoeing demonstrations every other day at IEF.  If you are interested in having one of your horses used as the shoeing demonstration horse please let IGGHR office now.  The only requirement is that the horse stand quietly for shoeing.

Any IGGHR member participating will be responsible for their own expenses. If you want to stay overnight there are (at this time) stalls available for rent.

For renting stalls please contact Mr. Kerry Wehmeyer at 859-707-8309 or email him at tripleks@bellsouth.net.  He owns the barn EIF has on reserve for horse rentals.  Please note Mr. Wehmeyer is an outside contractor and not involved in the planning of the Breed Appreciation Days.

Lexington, KY - Horse Capital Productions, organizers of the International Equestrian Festival presented by HRTV, a national television broadcasting network, invites you to join us for a unique opportunity to showcase your breed and pay tribute to your association members at the Festival.  The International Equestrian Festival is being held in downtown Lexington, Kentucky, September 25th - October 10, 2010, during the World Equestrian Games.  

For one full day, you have the opportunity to showcase your breed in a  
“Breed Appreciation Day” to the thousands of local, national and international visitors who will be attending the International Equestrian Festival. We encourage you to use this opportunity to reach out to your own members and invite them to a reception. Perhaps they could wear breed-identifying T-shirts to identify them as ambassadors of your breed for that day – and be ALL over the Festival venue!  

The following is being offered for your utilization as part of the IEF event: 

    • A time slot to showcase your breed in our Polytrack Park demonstration arena
    • A reciprocal link on our website (we will provide you with our logo)
    • Advertising announcement on our website
    • Advertising announcement on our Facebook fan page- feel free to post on our Facebook page as much as you would like
    • Limited booth space is still available for the 16 days of the event. Regular rates do apply for this add-on. Enthusiasts from 8 disciplines will be present- let them see the versatility of your breed!
    • HRTV broadcasts to 19 million households and will be filming and broadcasting from the International Equestrian Festival.  We can arrange some televised opportunity for you.
